The
final analysis for the St. Francis, Lynwood, Master Plan
concluded that the entire physical plant should be
incrementally phased out and replaced.
- Identified available land for the
development of a separate structure concept with no
disruption of services
- Identified the most appropriate
location of the circulation spine and axis for future
growth.
- Identified different zones of
activities on the site and carefully related it to the
spine, avoiding growth conflict.
- Site circulation is clear and
orderly, conducive to future incremental and
multidirectional growth.
The proposed planning approach
allowed for continuous incremental expansion and replacement
with no disruption of service. The criteria used in evaluating
the solution was as follows:
- Building Relationships
- Minimal Disruption of Service
- Plan Flexibility for Change and
Growth
- Clarity of Circulation for
Visitors, Patients, Staff and Materials
- Parking Needs
- Incremental Affordability
